Allenhurst is a small town located in Liberty County in the state of Georgia, United States. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.1 square miles, all of it being land. The population of Allenhurst was 788 as of the 2010 Census.
Allenhurst was named after Colonel Robert Allen, a prominent local planter and politician. Today, the town remains a quiet, residential community with a mix of historic and modern homes.
One of the major attractions of Allenhurst is the nearby Fort Stewart Military Reservation, which is located just a few miles to the west of the town. The fort is the largest military installation east of the Mississippi, covering over 280,000 acres and serving as home to more than 20,000 soldiers and civilian employees.
Allenhurst does not have many local businesses or stores, but residents can easily access nearby cities such as Hinesville or Savannah for shopping and entertainment.
